Our Mission
The anger, bewilderment and sheer frustration of hundreds of people around Aberdeen has led to the formation of a new group - Road Sense – to oppose the proposed Aberdeen By-Pass.
Existing local action groups in Silverburn, Milltimber, Peterculter, Maryculter, Netherley and Charleston have joined together to press for the Scottish Executive to think again.
Road Sense believes that the procedures by which the Netherley / Milltimber Brae route for an Aberdeen by-pass was selected were fundamentally flawed. Road Sense is opposing the by-pass proposal on the grounds that there is no substantive evidence that this road would significantly help the growing congestion problem in the area, the local economy, or the environment. Road Sense calls for a full multi-modal study to establish a modern transport strategy for Aberdeen.
