Our Pre Election Survey

We recently sent out a letter to all prospective MSP and local councillor candidates allowing them to express their opinions on the AWPR.

Specifically, we asked the candidates if they could clarify whether or not they considered that the current choice of route:

1. Is justified, given the number of published traffic studies that clearly indicate that this is not the way to go?
2. Will be worth the cost to the local taxpayer of at least £2 million per annum each for city and shire councils (or, more probably, £4 million per annum) for 30 years?
3. Was selected in a transparent, fair and democratic manner?
4. Represents the best option for resolving future traffic congestion in the Aberdeen area?
